Tendring Hundred Show

Essex County's Premier Agricultural Event

Tendring Show 2021.

Due to the continuing uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic and especially the mutations that are occurring, the Tendring Hundred Farmers’ Club has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the 2021 Tendring Show.

Although we have been encouraged by the Government’s roadmap for the lifting of lockdown, ending social distancing and the removal of all restrictions by 21st June, these are best-case dates. The day of the 2021, 10th July, is only three weeks after the earliest date for restrictions to end and any delays to those dates can easily impact upon our Show.

As a charitable organisation, it would be irresponsible for us to take on the financial risk of a Show that could still be curtailed or cancelled, because the potential losses would threaten the future of the Show.

We thank our members, supporters, exhibitors, contractors and the local community for their continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone back to our next show, which will be on 9th July 2022.

What they're saying about us

  • It was a splendidly organised event. Thank you. So nice to see a proper Farmers Show.

    Clare Dobie, Equestrian Exhibitor
  • Just to say well done to you and your team – excellent Show. Thank you for letting us extend our PR around the goat show – think the organisers like the extra people and upbeat day’s experience around them!

    David Boyden, Boydens
  • I would just like to say a BIG Thank you for such a brilliant day yesterday. We arrived on the show ground at 7.20am and left at 5.45pm! Thanks for all your hard work and look forward to next year.

    Teresa & Sarah Endean
  • We have been supporting the Tendring Show for over 50 years and see it as our main shop window to  promote both the NFU and the NFU Mutual locally.

    Philip Breary, NFU Mutual, Colchester
  • I have been exhibiting rabbit netting and ferrets at agricultural shows for longer than I care to remember. Now, at 69 years of age, there are only two shows I will do, and Tendring Hundred is one of them!

    Brian Brinded, The Rabbit Whisperer
  • We attend hundreds of events across the country and the Tendring Show is consistently one of our busiest one day Shows. It also helps that it is well organised and hassle free, hopefully we’ll be attending for another 10 years….

    Ryan Jepson, Ryan Jepson Cheeses
  • I would like to thank you for a most enjoyable day on Saturday, it seemed like the traditional weather for the Show returned to normality thank goodness, I hope it all worked out with a good attendance etc.

Mr Tony Irwin, Chairman NES Signs
  • Once again another very successful show, Well Done, Congratulations. I would like to thank you very much for my very forward Car Pass, I really appreciated it and so did the family because it meant they did not have to ferry me around the Car Park.

    Mrs J. Smith
  • Come rain or shine this friendly show still has the wonderful atmosphere it’s always had since I first attended the Show back in the 1970s

Mark Gates, A Touch of Silver
