2019 Theme Area – Delights of Dairy

Dairy farming is the single largest agricultural sector in the UK, accounting for around 17% of UK agricultural production by value.

This year we will be looking at Milk production and how it has evolved from the early years of hand milking to the fully automated robotic milking machines that we use today.

Our theme area will also show how the milk produced by dairy herds becomes various dairy products such as butter, cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream.

Open Air Shopping

with over 250 exhibitors booked

Jason Smyth’s Adrenaline Tour

The Adrenaline Tour which will be performing in the President’s Ring at this year’s Show, star’s ex-world championship moto-cross rider Jason Smyth performing motorcycle stunts.

The display is crammed with spectacular tricks on various quadbikes and is unique in its arrangement.

You will see quad stunts including quad freestyle, which is uncommon in the UK, with huge jumps over ramps and incorporates not only quad bikes but also motorcycles.

The Duck and Dog Demo

Featuring in our Family Arena this year will be the Duck and Dog Demonstration.    The demonstration will use trained and untrained sheep dogs to herd ducks, amusing and educating the audience about common dog behaviour issues and about how these can be resolved. The show demonstrates how untrained and poorly behaved dogs still have a programmed natural instinct, giving the audience a new understanding of the Way of the Dog.

  • I would just like to say a BIG Thank you for such a brilliant day yesterday. We arrived on the show ground at 7.20am and left at 5.45pm! Thanks for all your hard work and look forward to next year.

    Teresa & Sarah Endean
  • Myself and family always really enjoy the Tendring Show. So much for everyone to see and do. My 2 year old is tractor mad, so he especially enjoyed watching the display’s in the main arena. Well done!! Another fantastic day out.

  • I always look forward to the Tendring show for no matter what your interests you will find something for you and as far as the Colchester Vintage Club is concerned it is the only event in the year that we attend as a static Show.

    P. Pearson, Colchester Vintage Motor Club
  • We attend hundreds of events across the country and the Tendring Show is consistently one of our busiest one day Shows. It also helps that it is well organised and hassle free, hopefully we’ll be attending for another 10 years….

    Ryan Jepson, Ryan Jepson Cheeses
  • Just to say well done to you and your team – excellent Show. Thank you for letting us extend our PR around the goat show – think the organisers like the extra people and upbeat day’s experience around them!

    David Boyden, Boydens
  • Wanted to say thank you so much for such a great day. The family and I had a fabulous time and enjoyed everything we saw.  Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time and it was great to catch up with a few ‘old’ faces.

    A. Taylor
  • The day at Tendring Hundred Show simply is not long enough to see all the different attractions that this Show offers

    Keith, Owls r us
  • It was a splendidly organised event. Thank you. So nice to see a proper Farmers Show.

    Clare Dobie, Equestrian Exhibitor
  • We have used the Show as a PR tool to show new technology for over 15 years and see many of our existing customers year after year. It’s a great day out and we always seem to generate new leads and we will continue our support to the Show for years to come.

Paul Dewing, Managing Director – GCS Alarms
  • I travel nearly 600 miles from the north of Scotland to be part of such a friendly atmosphere. Tendring is a Show like no other. There are no empire builders, everyone pulls together to make it a really great occasion. I hope to be able to make it for many years yet, well done everyone.
